When quake happen, Muslims should know that it is:
1.A sign from Alloh to show that He is the Almighty. And He sends the signs to make the people fear of Him. To warn the people of their obligation to Alloh. As a warning of the danger of syirik, and disobeying Alloh.
�and We do not send signs but to make (men) fear�. (Al Isra: 59)
�We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?�. (Fussilat: 53)
�Say: He has the power that He should send on you a chastisement from above you or from beneath your feet, or that He should throw you into confusion, (making you) of different parties; and make some of you taste the fighting of others.� (Al Anaam: 65)

�And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have wrought, and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults).� (Ash-Shura: 30)
�Whatever benefit comes to you (O man!), it is from Allah, and whatever misfortune befalls you, it is from yourself,..� (An Nisa: 79)
That�s why Muslims should regret and obey Alloh:
�If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.� (Al Araf: 96)
