OPEN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL

Open Lower Secondary School is held for students who cant attend regular Lower Secondary School (SMP). Its formal. The school is adapted to students condition so it wont burden them. The students of Open Lower Secondary School use module and other learning medias. They study in houses of worship, inhabitants houses, village halls, and in the main Lower Secondary School. They learn in flexible time and they pay no school fee.
There are 2.576 Open Lower Secondary Schools and 10.365 places to study now. There are 306.749 students and 30.763 teachers of main school and 16.671 tutors. But, about 93,8 percent of students who have passed from the school, do not continue their study to higher school. Most of them go to work immediately after they leave their school.
They do not continue their study because of some reasons. The first reason is because they live in a remote area. The second; they are economically poor. The third; they help their parents to work for money. And the last, most girls are married soon after they pass the final examination. Its about 6 percent of the students who continue their study.
Its really a bad news to know that many children dont keep on studying. Its terrible to see that they marry in very young age.
